when I put Kurt and Shelby down for their nap time. After they switched around through the 4 sleeping places (a crib, toddlerbed, cushioned footstool the size of a loveseat, and a twin bed), I kissed them and said "night-night" at the door. I usually say "night-night, love you", but I forgot the love you.
Kurt smiled and said, "Night-night, love you."
Boy did my heart swell. Love you has always been demonstrated with a hug and a kiss by my little ones, but Kurt actually said the words, "love you."
